The record

Garaje Siberia's history of the Guardia Civil's Land Rovers records that, alongside the ordinary Santana fleet, the force took a number of Santana 2000 forward controls specially fitted for the anti-terrorist campaign of the 1970s and 1980s: a box body behind the cab with an armoured side door pierced by vision ports, and full-length bench seats along the walls so that a squad could sit facing outward, weapons ready, and return fire on the move if the vehicle was attacked. The photograph shows one at a road block on the Basque coast beside a BMR armoured car. Numbers built are not recorded.

The registry's model is a dark green Santana 2000 forward control with the box body, armoured side door with ports and roof ventilator; in the game it is bullet-proof and fires from its crew compartment.

Catalogue fields describe the vehicle's structure and body as this registry records it. They are not certified factory measurements, and no performance figures are published here.

AI rendering impression

An AI rendering impression starts from the registry's own 3D model of this vehicle, which an image model then paints into a scene. It is an artist's impression of the type, made to give a feel for the vehicle in its element — not a photograph, and not a record of any particular vehicle.

Proportions, fittings, markings, colours and the setting can all drift from the original in the process. For the vehicle's actual details, rely on the registry's 3D renders, the specification and the cited sources on this page.
