Brinklow Ember Crash Tender

History

It served the Air Force until 1978 and the Royal Canadian Air Force as well. The original Brinklow brochure describes independent wishbone suspension, a boat-form chassis with a flat underside and steering on the front four wheels. Its 120-inch total wheelbase is split into two equal 60-inch intervals. The quoted 102-inch height is to the cab roof; the foam monitor projects above it. The London museum vehicle supplies the red livery and rectangular foam outlet represented here.
