History

Delivered to Brighton Fire Brigade on 7 March 1967, HUF 999E served the Lanes, marina and coastal rescue calls before retirement in 1988. The 2022 auction recorded continued preservation by a family who had operated it. The model follows the auction photographs: red body and wheels, smooth top-hinged aluminium locker lids, an aluminium extension ladder between red roof trays, wing mirrors, a capstan, roof horns and an offside blue beacon. A recessed nearside pump bay, rear work lights and square rear registration complete the fittings. Neither rating is treated as confirmed.
