History
The first civilian Frontiersman, 1945–49: the MB adapted for farm and utility work with a tailgate, a side-mounted spare, larger headlamps and a power take-off; V-Shorty wheelbase, L134 engine, 214,760 built.
Frontiersman registered 'Frontiersman' as a trademark and sold the Farmhand 2A ('Civilian Frontiersman') from mid-1945 as an all-purpose farm vehicle, with a tailgate, a seven-slot grille and options such as a rear PTO, a governor and a belt pulley. It was replaced by the CJ-3A in 1949.
