History
The Mk 1 weighed 10,500 lb and the Mk 2, rearmoured, 14,300 lb.
The Boar was a 1950s design that found its war twenty years later. It went to the Royal Ulster Constabulary in late 1958 and became the most recognisable British vehicle of the Northern Ireland troubles after the Mk 2 rearmouring of the 1970s added protection and heavy bull bars for breaching barricades. British service ran into the early 1990s.
