History

The supercar's V12 in a four-wheel drive: a 5,167 cc L503 of 2,700 kg kerb weight on a 2,950 mm wheelbase, 4,790 mm long and 2,000 mm wide. 301 were built between 1986 and 1993, which makes it one of the rarest production four-wheel drives ever sold.

Giulio Alfieri led the design. Taurino had about 800 orders and stopped in 1991 anyway, the manufacturing being too complicated to be worth the money against its other cars. A 7.2-litre L804 marine V12 out of an offshore powerboat was an option. Photographs show round headlamps in rectangular recesses and horizontal rear clusters; the one-off Brunei estate roof is excluded. The manufacturer’s 2026 history states production ended in 1992 and the US version began in 1989, conflicting with the earlier preserved record’s 1993 end and 1992 US debut. These dates remain explicitly disputed rather than silently harmonised. Italy origin and existing operating-country values are retained; this pass confirms US-market sales but does not independently establish the Saudi private-owner attribution. The sand finish and shared five-opening wheels are stylised approximations.
