Cintec Ltd’s Cineroma was a self-contained 16 mm mobile cinema offered on a Land Rover 109-inch station wagon. The surviving 1962 leaflet illustrates a Series II-pattern vehicle and records Rover approval for the conversion. It was intended for open-air film shows, public information and education.
The leaflet specifies a Bell & Howell Model 640 projector with optical and magnetic sound, roof-mounted re-entrant horn speakers and an engine-driven 3 kVA, 230 V, 50 Hz alternator. Engine-speed governing and auxiliary oil cooling supported stationary operation. One person could operate the cinema, with seating for three.
This Series II model shares the screen, speakers, rack and projector equipment of the separate Series I interpretation, and uses the shared deluxe bonnet. The bonnet choice is part of this model configuration; the brochure does not establish it as a universal Cineroma specification. The model displays the projector on the roof, while the leaflet shows it on a separate stand.
