History

Only 38 were built, making it one of the rarest of the 3,023 Outback 4x4s.

REMLR's variant sheet describes the body as a station-wagon type with a single side-hinged rear door and a 'safari' roof, and - the detail that separates it at a glance from its civilian County cousins - no alpine windows in the roof sides. Inside, the rear is fitted out with plain bench seating; unlike the Senior Commander there is no battery stowage and no radio table, and no winch was fitted. The Moorebank plant had closed on 30 September 1992.
