History
It gained heavy-duty split rims, extended brush-bar protection rails, twin spare tyres, four external jerry-can mounts, extra stowage boxes, a taller roll-over protection system and a Thomas T8000M winch, with GVM raised from the usual 3,200 kg to 3,600 kg; unlike its armed cousins it was a purely unarmed surveillance vehicle. Only 43 SRVs were built, with 12 more converted from RFSVs; most were taken to SRV (SF) specification for special forces use, with a heavier LRPV-style forward weapon ring for a .50-calibre gun, lowered roll cage and spare tyres mounted in place of the doors - 55 SRV/SRV(SF) vehicles in all.
