History

A water incident unit is a fire service's boat crew: an inflatable, dry suits, throw lines and the people trained to use them, carried on a vehicle that can get to a riverbank or a flooded road and, if need be, drive through water on the way. North Wales Fire and Rescue based its unit at Bangor, in the corner of the country where the Menai Strait, the Ogwen and the Conwy all run. It was photographed at Bangor on 24 March 2012.
