Dunlop RK3 tyre

The Dunlop RK3 general-purpose road-and-track pattern was the standard tyre on the Land-Rover, available in 6.00-16, 7.00-16 and 7.50-16, intended for use both on and off the road. Dunlop's 1960 leaflet, approved by the Rover Co., lists it against the alternative Trakgrip, Gold Seal and sand tyres.

Standard fitment on Series I/II; 6.00-16 on 80/86/88, 7.50-16 on 109.

Rarity. Standard equipment on the Series I and Series II, so fitted to hundreds of thousands of vehicles; long out of production, with reproduction RK3-pattern tyres sold for restorations. Production dates not established beyond the 1960 leaflet.
