Description
Land Rover's heavy-duty (XD) vented welded-seam steel wheel, 16 x 6.5 in with a 2.75 in offset and rated 2,200 kg per wheel, an inch wider than the standard 5.5 in Defender steel rim. First fitted to the British Army's Defender XD 'Wolf' TUL 90 and TUM 110 and to the Defender 130, it became the default expedition wheel for 7.50R16 and 235/85R16 tyres.
5-stud 165 mm PCD as all coil-sprung Land Rovers; owners fit them to Lightweights with stud-length caveats.
Rarity. Fitted to the whole British Army Wolf fleet (c.8,000 vehicles) and as the Defender 130 heavy-duty wheel, then flooded onto the civilian market from MoD disposals; pattern copies are also made.
Record: 4 sources; designation recorded; price recorded.
