The first coil-sprung Camel Trophy Land Rovers were prepared for twelve teams in 1984. This model follows the preserved vehicle driven by Volker Lapp and Ulrich Schum. Its owner published contemporary album photographs and reported a Heritage certificate documenting its return to Lode Lane and subsequent dispatch to the sponsor in Brazil. The listing identifies a factory 2.25 diesel upgraded to a 2.5 naturally aspirated unit, auxiliary fuel capacity and a Warn 8274 winch.
The model retains the slim rounded brush guard, bonnet and rear spares, four roof lamps, side perforated sand ladders, raised intake and sand-painted steel wheels. It has no roll cage. Period roof cans are represented; no later American registration is applied. UK conversion origin follows the Lode Lane preparation evidence, and Germany identifies this team’s operation rather than the Brazilian event location.
