Fourteen teams contested the 1989 Amazon event in One Ten station wagons. The 2.5-litre turbo-diesel vehicles carried bonnet and rear spares, a roof rack, raised air intake and winch. This fleet-specification model uses the contemporary equipment description reproduced by Camel Trophy Portugal and period vehicle photographs: front safety cage, four rack lamps plus adjustable corner lamps, perforated sand ladders, flat rear roof cans and kit cases. Sponsor markings occupy the front wing behind the wheel. A team-specific registration and flag are deliberately not assigned to this fleet entry. Individual vehicles and equipment changed through the event; it is represented clean rather than with simulated damage.
