The classic British expedition roof rack: a full roof-length heavy-duty commercial rack of galvanised steel tube (galvanised to BS 729) with an all-round raised rail and gutter-mounted legs, front and rear support struts to the body, and an optional four-can jerry frame built in. Made by Brownchurch of Leyton, the company formed in 1970 to build accessories to match the Land Rover, and sold with agents in Europe and the USA.

Sized for 88/90 and 109/110 roofs; crew-cab and 130 versions listed; legs adjustable and forum owners also fit them to Discovery.

Rarity. Brownchurch's core product since the company was formed in 1970 by Dennis Brown and Chris Church in East London; galvanised racks outlast the vehicles and appear regularly on the secondhand market (forum asking prices £100-150 used, c.£670 new with ladder in 2020s).
